The next ACNP Victoria Chapter meetings are scheduled for:
Friday 1st March 1PM - 3PM
Friday 31st May 1PM - 3PM
Friday 30th August 1PM - 3PM
Each meeting will be inclusive of up to 45 minutes of Professional Development with guest speakers.
Teleconferencing is available by arrangement.
All ACNP Victoria chapter meetings now include up to one hour of professional development, with guest speakers in attendance from 3.00PM - 4.00PM. Topics will range from clinical case presentations, to professional practice issues. Topics and speaker details are emailed out to chapter members prior to the event with the meeting agenda.

WorkSafe and TAC
ACNP Victoria Chapter is calling for expressions of interest for a WorkSafe/TAC interest group, to help gain access for Nurse Practitioners to WorkSafe and TAC. Re: Nurse Practitioner Network: Aged Care /Gerontology
We are in the process of determining the level of interest for the development of an Aged Care/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Network in Victoria.
It is anticipated that the group will be established along similar lines to the other NP network groups providing educational and professional development opportunities as well as support and guidance for candidates and newly endorsed NP's.
As there are both Metro and Rural NP's and candidates we propose that the meetings be rotated through Melbourne and various rural sites to allow all participants the opportunity to host a meeting.
There will also be a discussion thread available on the forum on the ACNP website - Vic Chapter for group use.
We plan to meet a minimum of every 2 months for a full day meeting on a Friday (negotiable)
The meetings will be facilitated through 2 NP's - Cheryl Donohue NP in Melbourne and Deanne Burge NP in Wangaratta
We are collecting names with a view to launch the group early next year, with the first meeting planned for early February 2012 (negotiable) in Melbourne.
