Chair Message

Welcome to a new breath in the history of the group.

A little note first to thank all those pioneers who have come before the current committee. The NSW group are committed to pursuing the development of the NP role.
In particular supporting strategies that enhance the profession (including access to MBS and PBS). NSW ANPA representatives encourage members to continue to share skills, to fertilise association lobbying at a National level . As Chair I do send out bulletins to NSW members regularly so am keen for any new information or resources to share with our members.

The NSW committee support development of NP’s and their roles where the NP is currently employed , unemployed (in recognised or unrecognised positions) within the NSW public and private sector.

The National ANPA body is currently moving from being an association to a college. The committee keeps in contact via e-mail.
Our roles may encompass:

  1. Keeping the committee in the loop regarding NP issues in NSW.
  2. Regularly visiting the ANPA website, for discussions.
  3. In 2009 NSW will be hosting the ANPA annual conference in Sydney.
  4. Supporting, endorsing the processes undertaken by the NSW Conference organising Committee as detailed above.
  5. Encouraging members to actively participate on the website.
  6. Encouraging members to support initiatives of the NSW and or National body, within their local communities.
  7. Getting feedback from members so we can develop strategies to assist and support members, in the development of the NP role in NSW
  8. Chair attends National meetings.
  9. Supporting the Chairpersons role.
