Emergency Nurse Practitioner Employment

The increase in the number of Emergency Nurse Practitioners will build on the already successful model of care implemented throughout the State over the past five years, and is part of the commitment to ongoing provision of consistent, effective and safe care for people in the community.

Working within established services, our Emergency Nurse Practitioners provide customer-focused services incorporating advanced clinical nursing care, education, consultancy, research, management and mentoring. Our aim is to facilitate best practice and cost effective patient care in collaboration with medical and allied health care professionals, resulting in the best possible care for patients within Emergency Departments.

We are looking for Emergency Nurse Practitioners or Practitioner Candidates who are keen to work in an environment that values their quick thinking and clear decision making skills in critical situations. We have multiple roles on offer across a range of emergency department locations.

You will have access to:

  • Funded Emergency Nurse Practitioner and Practitioner Candidate positions
  • An immediate start within established ENP services
  • Dedicated non-clinical time for work on authorisation, research, practice development and education
  • Mentoring by current authorised Emergency Nurse Practitioners
  • Varied practice that is not bound by specific clinical practice guidelines
  • Options to work in various sites across South Australia
  • Redevelopment works progressing state-wide
