- March 16th 2009 twilight evening 1800 hrs "Nurse Practitioners in Focus" - we have 70 participants (nearly double our anticipated numbers!). The Chief Nurse will speak as well as nurse practitioners and one director of nursing. It is being held at the RBWH auditorium. There will be a DVD of proceedings available and it will go on this web site as a podcast talking/PPT slides
- August 2009 one day workshop for NPs/ APNs - has been successfully presented on 29th - hosted by University of Qld. The Chief Nurse was able to stay for most of the sessions. The session on legals presented by a Nurse/lawyer was a stimulating session as were presentations from NPs in different models around the state. QLD has three NP candidates in aviation with RFDS which are the first in Australia
- Smith and Nephew offered one day plaster workshop for emergency NPs - this will occur in later October 2009 at stones corner
