This newly formed Chapter aims to support Nurse Practitioners professionally: assisting with collegial support and mentoring of nurse practitioner students. Influencing the strategic direction for nurse practitioners is another focus. In Tasmanian, endorsed nurse practitioners and nurse practitioner students are expanding in number. Currently nurse practitioner students undertake distance education with key clinical components supported by medical, allied health and nursing supervisors and mentors.
