The Victorian Chapter of the ACNP is committed to ongoing engagement with both our endorsed and candidate nurse practitioner workforce and our major stakeholders. To this end, the Victorian Chapter Executive participate in a busy schedule of membership meetings and events, along with forum presentations, promotional activities and advisory consultations for groups and individuals seeking further information regarding the nurse practitioner role. Membership numbers for the Victorian Chapter have demonstrated consistent growth over the previous three years and include endorsed and candidate nurse practitioners and organisational memberships. The number and categories of endorsed nurse practitioners in Victoria continues to grow with the most recent endorsements in Community Health and Mental Health. Endorsed nurse practitioners in Victoria are all working in nurse practitioner roles across community, hospital and private healthcare settings. The Victorian Chapter welcomes new members and values their contribution to the development of nurse practitioner role in Victoria.

AMA Media Release June 11, 2008 The Australian Medical Association today noted the Rudd Government's intention to develop a national Primary Health Care Strategy but voiced its concerns over the Government's lack of transparency on how it intends to maintain high-quality patient care while diverting patients from seeing doctors. |
