Viral Hepatitis, Royal Melbourne Hospital

Sally was endorsed as a nurse practitioner (NP) in 2020 and became the first viral hepatitis in Victoria at that time. The Viral Hepatitis NP model builds on the community based Integrated Hepatitis C Service at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH). This was developed to provide accessible, timely and stigma sensitive care to people living with or at risk of viral hepatitis in a range of healthcare settings. Sally delivers viral hepatitis care in primary care, community health, drug and alcohol and homeless person’s services. Sally is a passionate NP participant in Australia’s Hep C elimination efforts and in supporting the wider NP network to provide viral hepatitis care within their practice. Sally is also an accredited Hepatitis B s100 prescriber and most recently as a MATOD provider
