I currently work in private practice as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/ Credentialed Mental Health Nurse at Longford/Perth Surgery.
I have worked at Longford/Perth surgery for 10 years and find working with clients in the Northern Midlands both enjoyable and rewarding. I have been able to develop my role as a MHNP with the wonderful support of the principles at the practice. I am the first Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to work in a clinical setting in Tasmania and believe that this is a valuable role in a rural setting.
I am also a current member of the Tasmanian Mental Health Tribunal and The Guardianship and Administration Board of Tasmania, an Adjunct Lecturer and a Tutor/Marker for the Faculty of Health Science at UTAS and for the Faculty of Health Science at RMIT. I have previously worked in acute, rehabilitation, forensic and community mental health. I have obtained a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health, a Graduate Certificate in Initiatic Art Therapy, a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Nursing, a Master’s degree in Forensic Mental Health and a Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner specialising in Mental Health.
I have a wonderful partner, two beautiful daughters and an adorable granddaughter which also keep me busy and active.
