NP opportunities with the RFDS

RFDS HAS NP OPPORTUNITIES

As you are aware, ACNP has been working with various organisations, in addition to Commonwealth and State governments to assist with COVID vaccinations, particularly for vulnerable people.  There is still work to do in parts of Australia, and also the ongoing need for booster vaccinations.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service has a number of opportunities for Nurse Practitioners, particularly if you are able to work in the following areas:

• Barkly NT; 
• Tiwi NT; 
• Bowen Basin Qld; 
• Central Highlands Qld;
• Far North Qld; 
• Pilbara WA; 
• Goldfields WA; 
• Gascoyne WA.

Assistance is required ASAP in these locations in particular, however interested NPs from all areas are encouraged to make contact, as there are needs across all areas of rural and remote Australia.

There will be a streamlined orientation process and then opportunities to assist the RFDS  with vaccinations and community engagement. Most of their focus in the coming months is associated with supporting Indigenous led vaccination programs. Over the coming months, there will be other locations where assistance is needed.
