National Members Update

We invite all ACNP members to attend our second National Members Update of 2023.

You will hear from Catherine Smith, ACNP Treasurer, who will deliver a national update on behalf of the ACNP Board and share the latest news on ACNP's advocacy.

You'll also receive an overview of what events including the latest on our 2020 National Conference.

Following the national update, each Chapter will break out into their State Chapter meetings.

MEETING CHAIR

Catherine Smith, ACNP Treasurer and Nurse Practitioner RN Mast (NP), PNSA, FACORN

Catherine runs a holistic weight loss clinic in Brisbane and who has worked within the obesity sector for several years working in working in intensive care and perioperative areas.  Additionally, she has many years experience as a nurse educator. For the past 25 years, Catherine has been a registered nurse, becoming an endorsed Nurse Practitioner in 2012.  Currently, she works as a perioperative nurse surgical assistant with general, gynaecology, and bariatric surgeons. Over the past several years, Catherine has served on nursing association committees, including the Obesity Map of Medicine redevelopment working group.

Since 2018 Catherine has been the ACNP Treasurer guiding the College to a strong financial position for the future, while contributing to the Royal Commission into Aged Care and other workers of the College.
