S.T.A.B.L.E. (Pre-conference workshop)
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
S.T.A.B.L.E. is the most widely distributed and implemented neonatal education program to focus on supportive care in the stabilisation care of sick neonates post-resuscitation/pre-transport. Based on a mnemonic to optimize learning, retention and recall of information, S.T.A.B.L.E. stands for the six assessment and care modules in the program: Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, and Emotional support. A seventh module, Quality Improvement stresses the professional responsibility of improving and evaluating care provided to sick infants.
This course is aimed at health professionals interested in learning about or brushing up on evidence based core knowledge in managing and caring for the neonatal population. This is the first time this international course is being offered outside a Neonatal Unit in Australia so don't miss this opportunity.
