21st September 2026
Seqirus is writing to communicate recent changes relating to the maximum daily dose in the TRAMAL® solution for injection prescribing information (Product Information) for which Seqirus is the sponsor in Australia.
Summary of Change
The maximum daily dose for TRAMAL® solution for injection when used for post-operative pain has been reduced from 600 mg to 400 mg.
This is in order to harmonise and align dosing information described in the Australian prescribing information with global TRAMAL® solution for injection dosing information.
The updated Product Information for TRAMAL® is now available at https://www.ebs.tga.gov.au/ebs/picmi/picmirepository.nsf/PICMI?OpenForm&t=pi&q=tramal.
Clinicians are encouraged to review any local protocols and guidelines for post-operative pain which include tramadol for injection dosing and update where and if deemed appropriate.
Should you require any further information and/or to report an adverse event, please contact Seqirus Medical Information on 1800 642 865.
