Prescribing & Pharmacology Workshop.

This updated workshop with new content will provide an overview of Nurse Practitioner’s role in prescribing, the key issues faced with particular focus on PBS access, regulations and limitations.

This workshop will provide an overview of Nurse Practitioner’s role in prescribing, the key issues faced with particular focus on PBS access, regulations and limitations.

  • Key issues: legislation, ethics, PBS, scheduling changes 
  • Evidence based prescribing and essential resources 
  • Communication and patient-centred approach 
  • Update on recent new drugs, guidelines, cautions, controversies, drug interactions

The workshops will support members professional development with a certificate of participation provided for all programs at the completion of a short quiz.

ACNP_FINAL_NP_Connect

NP Connect events are run as state based face to face events and give our members a chance to connect with each other. 

These events offer a casual environment for networking with your peers and learning about a range of topics delivered by invited speakers.

ACNP National Conference  

The ACNP National Conference gathers more than 400+ senior health practitioners providing an exciting program, including welcome reception, keynote speakers, workshops, and gala awards dinner.

This conference is a perfect networking opportunity for all delegates, to inspire leadership and enhance clinical expertise. 

The State and venues change each year ensuring access is shared around the country creating equal access for all members.

The next event is the 2024 National Conference in Cairns QLD, 6-8 Nov 2024.

 

SYMPOSIUM 

ACNP_FINAL_Green_Symposium

Symposiums are State based to enable best practice in addressing relevant local issues.  This is needed as each State Government Health Department has differing requirements. 

This Symposium occurs in different State/Territories around the country to allow for increased access to members who are not able to travel great distances.

Symposiums are designed by members to ensure their highest preferences are addressed.  This can be done through guest speakers, Case Study sessions, Facilitated discussions and sponsored presentations.

 

ACNP_FINAL_OnlineLearning

The ACNP is currently developing a series on online learning modules. 

The modules can be completed in your own time and your own pace.

 

ACNP_FINAL_Webinar

We host a series of webinars throughout the year which focus on speciality topics.

Our webinars are often presented by fellow Nurse Practitioners and are an economical way to increase your CPD hours.

Webinars are schedule during the day and in the evening.
