The Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) is the national peak body for Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Nurses in Australia. Our team is active in advancing nursing practice and improving access to health care through leadership, support of professional practice, education and research.
Geri Sumpter | Chief Executive Officer
Geri has had an extensive career in public health, health promotion, and workplace health, safety and wellbeing and is delighted to lead the College at a time of both opportunity and momentum for Nurse Practitioners and advanced practice nursing across Australia. She is passionate about supporting all Australians to achieve their best possible health outcomes.
Her involvement with member organisations and leading significant national health initiatives means she brings a deep understanding of the important role this peak body plays in championing the Nurse Practitioner workforce, as well as the strategic focus and governance requirements needed to keep the business strong and effective.
